About this venue
Highlights
From a converted coach house in the mid-80’s, this barn and Irish pub for weddings in Clare has undergone many changes yet it was able to preserve its traditional essence and rustic ambiance.
Today, it is one of the most preferred event venues in Clare for couples who want an authentic Irish wedding. Amazingly, couples from outside the country are the ones who travel all the way to Clare for a destination wedding in Ireland, the authentic Irish style.
Why not, when it's a stone's thrown away from scenic locations like the Cliffs of Moher, Hag’s Head, and many historic ruins of Country Clare? The Pub is a twin Bar and Barn venue that’s “rich in character” and “full of warmth” as some reviewers would describe it. Here, you’ll get to listen to traditional Irish music and enjoy set dancing while savouring delicious dishes and witnessing the view of the Kilfenora village.

Surroundings
Set in a historic village in Clare, this Irish pub and barn venue is a favorite place for resting, drinking, and dancing by both locals and tourists. It’s surrounded by the Burren’s breathtaking landscape of lush green hills, extensive European cave systems, iron age forts, and old castles.
We have personally arranged Irish elopements in Clare’s historic churches, castle ruins, and breathtaking cliffs, and almost every time, our couples would pick the pub for the reception. Good thing, recently they opened the pub for wedding ceremonies too.
Ceremony
Whether it’s an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Irish fields or an indoor barn affair that’s on your mind, there’s a perfect place for you to say your “I do” here.
There is a private, enclosed garden at the back of the pub where elegant chairs can be set up for a dreamy outdoor ceremony with a vibrant tree and the rest of the nature-stricken village in the background. It’s a perfect spot for intimate weddings of up to 120 people.
If it rains on your wedding day, you can use the barn with an authentic Irish ambiance for an indoor ceremony. Candles and fairy lights will be set up inside to add magic to your ceremony.
Reception
From the canapes to the dessert and wine, the Irish pub is ready to serve you. The venue’s 4-course menu, which includes dessert towers, is the most popular option for wedding receptions. They have flexible sets of dishes to accommodate the rarest food preferences.
Enjoy the feast at the rustic reception area where long tables and elegant chairs are arranged for a wonderful celebration. This beautiful banquet room has a mix of wooden and brick walls keeping the authentic charm of an Irish pub.
After enjoying the sumptuous feast, you and your guests can proceed to the party area with a stage in front for the band while the whole center aisle is dedicated for dancing and partying.
Dance with your loved one and guest to the tune of traditional Irish music and just about any song that you will request from the band.
Accommodation
Due to the pub’s increasing wedding bookings, an accommodation option is added for the couple’s convenience.
You can book the renovated guest house next to the pub for a comfortable sleep before and after your special day. The whole building has 9 en suite bedrooms that can sleep up to 21 people. It’s a self-catering accommodation with its own kitchen and dining areas for a homey and laidback stay.
Take advantage of this accommodation option, especially if you like to explore Clare and the Burren for your honeymoon. By booking this accommodation, you and your guests will exclusively enjoy the guest house to yourselves.
