About this venue

Highlights

Isn’t it exciting to get married in a place that used to be a collection of old buildings by a prince of Sweden? That explains the majestic look of this French chateau from its regal architecture to its elegant interiors, and that’s just the icing on top of the cake.

This wedding chateau is also a 5-star luxury boutique hotel that sits on one of the most prominent hilltops above the Mediterranean Sea in the stunning medieval village of Èze.

You can tie the knot on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views of the Côte d’Azur, and have a romantic dinner on the balcony of your wedding suite or in the chateau’s Michelin-star restaurant. That’s what you call a French destination wedding to remember.

Location

Perched in the unique medieval village of Èze, the chateau offers stunning views of the French Riviera beaches and cliffs. It’s a favorite destination of celebrities because it offers a historic medieval vibe while being dotted with amazing hotels, villas, and chateaus providing luxury accommodations.

Èze lies close to the prestigious destinations, Monaco and Nice, making it a great starting point for a magnificent French Riviera tour. Getting married here is hitting two birds with one stone. You get to have a dreamy wedding in the Côte d’Azur, and an unforgettable honeymoon visiting two other French destinations.

History

The history of this wedding chateau goes as far back as the early 1900s when Prince William of Sweden acquired the individual homes in Èze after falling in love with the village on his first visit. These homes now compose the lovely chateau.

Although the prince abandoned his medieval home collection in 1953, it was reacquired and restored to its former glory from 1976 to 1980.

Later on, the chateau was opened to the public with a tea room and a bed and breakfast until it was finally converted in 1987 into the luxury hotel that it is today.

Ceremony

Since its conversion as a hotel in 1987, the chateau has been one of the most prominent wedding venues on the French Riviera.

Couples can have an intimate celebration at the terrace for up to 44 guests, and can also have a beautiful elopement for two at the balcony. Both offer breathtaking views of the Nice and Monaco coastline, making them the favorite spot for outdoor ceremonies.

There’s also a salon with elegant interiors that accommodates a smaller group of up to 15 persons. All these outdoor and indoor options can be privatized for your wedding.

Reception

You can also hold the wedding reception on the balcony, the terrace, or the salon. However, the chateau’s Fine-Dining restaurant and lounge bar are the most popular spots for wedding dinners. The restaurant seats up to 50 guests while the lounge bar can accommodate 38 guests.

Both options can be privatized for your wedding reception, and they are both complete with balconies and terraces, offering amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to the breathtaking sea, making sure you get plenty of natural light and stunning views.

The lounge bar, on the other hand, is perfect for small weddings, with a two-leveled terrace overlooking the coast. If you want to make your big day extra special and intimate, you can privatize the entire chateau for your guests.

There’s also a more intimate private dining room that seats up to 16 guests, with its own private terrace for superb sea views. A so-called Wine Cave welcomes wine enthusiasts to wine pairings hosted by the chateau’s experienced sommeliers.

But if you’re having an elopement for two, just like most of our couples, you can have a romantic wedding dinner on the chateau’s private balconies overlooking the enclave of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Accommodation

As a 5-star luxury hotel in a famous French Riviera destination, you can’t expect less than superb accommodations from this venue. In fact, the chateau received countless awards for their unique luxury rooms and suites and high-end service.

Each room provides modern features and a luxury experience, from their standard rooms to presidential suites.

Needless to say, this wedding chateau in Èze has all bases covered to give you a luxury and unforgettable intimate wedding in France. If you think this is perfect for the big day that you envision, get in touch with us, and start making you dream wedding come true.
